As the Corona
pandemic has been holding the entire world in its grip
for far more than a year, now the invitations have been
sent in rescheduling the 29th annual Cornell
Weekend
of the Cornell Club of Germany for this first weekend in October 2021, as it was already planned for 2020. The meeting will resume in the city of Nürnberg, in the south-eastern German federal state of Bavaria. We will convene at the Hotel Holiday

cordially invites you to join us for a talk by Lukas
Neckermann ’96 (A&S) on “A Post Covid Look at Smart Cities and
Smart Mobility”.
Lukas is a 1996 graduate of Cornell University (BA in Science and Technology Studies) and continues to be active in the university’s alumni networks. He also received an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. After coining the term, “The Mobility Revolution" in his 2014 book of the same name, Lukas followed up with three more books: "Corporate Mobility Breakthrough 2020", "Smart Cities, Smart Mobility", and "Being Driven". His key focus areas are the “Three Zeroes”: Zero Emissions, Zero Accidents, and Zero Ownership. Lukas is also an Advisor to Flock Cover, NEXT Future Transportation Inc., MSCI, SNRG, and other companies, as well as a GLG Council Member. He teaches at New York University and is a guest lecturer at the University of St. Gallen. He has co-founded companies in UK, US and Romania, held Director/Board of Management appointments at Allianz Group companies in the UK and Ireland and a marketing communications leadership role at BMW. The event will be held online and you are kindly asked to register here. In the case of questions for this event please contact CCG president Volkmar Helmich. In order to lift the mood even further we would kindly ask you to mark your calendar for the first weekend in October 2021: we are planning to meet in Nürnberg from Friday 1 Oct until Sunday 3 Oct 2021 for our yearly meeting – clearly with the hope and assumption, that everybody had a chance for a vaccination until then. Please look out for further announcements to come. |

attempt has failed again to reschedule the 29th annual Cornell
Weekend
of the Cornell Club of Germany, as it was planned to resume in the city of Nuremberg, in the south-eastern German federal state of Bavaria. Due to the global Corona pandemic this years Cornell Weekend has been cancled again It is planned to go to Nuremberg in 2022 again and enjoy the program of this year then. |
