The international "Spirit of Zinck's Night" is taking place again, the big annual Cornell event celebrated around the world on the third Thursday in October.

Klaus and Deloyce Conrad (M.S.'60) of the Munich Chapter cordially invite all interested Cornellians to meet again at the Munich restaurant "Der Tannenbaum" at Kreuzstr. 18 (near the Sendlinger Tor Platz, Subway U3/U6). anytime after 6:00 p.m.," depending on when you can make it!

There will be no fixed program, but, as during the previous get-togethers, perhaps we can arrange to move around a bit, from one place to another, in order to get in (better) exchange with as many our fellow Cornellians possible.

The regular regional fall get-together of the Rhein-Ruhr Chapter is planned for the end of September 2006 and Detlef Rahmann invites all interested Cornellians. Further informations will be posted soon. Please already mark the date in your calendars.

The 15th annual Cornell Weekend of the Cornell Club of Germany is taking place this year in Stuttgart. Please find here the invitation .

The Weekend will start off on Friday evening at 19:30 at the tavern „Zum Ackerbürger“, Bad Cannstatt, Spreuegasse 38, one of the oldest parts of Stuttgart.

After the opening an evening dinner will bring new and old Cornellians back togehter again. A slide presentation about Stuttgart will be part of the evening event. Presenter: Mrs. Ingrid Krieger, City of Stuttgart. Title of the presentation: „Stuttgart ehemals und heute - mehr als bloß eine technische Kapitale“

Saturday, May 27th, 2006
The annual membership meeting will take place at 9:00 on Saturday morning. Please find here the agenda and the minutes of the meeting.

After the meeting there will be a boat tour on the Neckar River to the Ludwigsburg Castle, starting at 10:30, and in the afternoon we will visit the brand new "Mercedes Benz Museum", which opens its doors on May 20th 2006, a few days before we get together.

The evening event will start at 19:30 at the "Parkhotel am Rundfunk". After aperitif and formal annual dinner the evenings speaker will be Dr. Bernd Mahr, member of the board of MAHLE GmbH, a major automotive industry supplier, speaking about „Der Automobilbau im Spannungsfeld zwischen Ökonomie und Ökologie“.

Sunday, May 28th, 2006
At 9:30 am we will start our traditional "Big Red Brunch" at the "Parkhotel am Rundfunk". The official end of the weekend will be around 11:00 am.

Anyone interested in a special closing of the weekend is invited to join after the official closing for a tour through the zoological-botanical garden "Wilhelma" or participate in a visit of the "Staatsgalerie Stuttgart" art museum.
